EPA Public Meeting on Floyd's Fork

What: Public Meeting to Discuss the Development of a Total Maximum
Daily Load and Other Projects in the Floyds Fork Watershed

When: November 15, 2011 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm

Why: EPA Region 4 and Kentucky Division of Water will host a
meeting on November 15th to further engage the public in
projects in the Floyds Fork watershed. This meeting is a
follow-up to the meeting held August 30th, but will contain
new information about the project.

To begin the meeting, the Kentucky Division of Water (DOW)
will provide an overview of watershed basics, the Total
Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) process and present the plan for a
stakeholder engagement process that will build upon the TMDL
development efforts. DOW will also introduce the proposed
water-quality targets for nutrients and describe the
methodology used to develop the targets.

EPA Region 4 will present the watershed (runoff) model for
stakeholder comment and review. EPA will be looking for
public participation in reviewing the model at this
developmental step as well as reviewing and commenting on
the data used for the model.
